Imaginary Reads takes a more literary and critical approach to fiction. It's the analytical / theorist side of us coming out from our day jobs.

I have a B.A. in English and Psychology as well as a minor in Women and Gender Studies. I participated in ballroom dance as the President for two years then as Vice President for a year to support the new leadership, founded a creative writing organization, and volunteered at Readers2Leaders. I also served in the Christian community at my campus. Presently, I teach high school during the week and pre-K4 Sunday School on odd Sundays.

I have been a book blogger here at Imaginary Reads since I founded the blog in April 2011 to share my love of books. Since 2016, I have also blogged about Christian living at Crystal in Faith.

I love books that explore the human possibility. Though I primarily read speculative fiction (fantasy is my first love), I enjoy a good literary read and will give most any genre a try. Some of my other loves include puppies, photography, ballroom dancing, and country and classic rock music.

I mostly post on Tuesdays and Fridays. As I am a teacher, work fills up quite a bit of my time, and I may disappear from time to time. You can find updates via my social media channels (see right sidebar).

Alice is a stay-at-home mom of two children. Her favorite books are those send icy tingles down her spine, such as a good mystery or thriller, but she also enjoys a good hear-throbbing romance. She enjoys listening to music and drinking a cup of tea while reading and working.

Alice joined Imaginary Reads in August 2012. She posts reviews on Wednesdays.

Austin is a student at Vanderbilt University majoring in Economics and minoring in Philosophy. He enjoys reading fantasy books and watching a variety of films from actions to dramas. In his free time, he can be found gaming.

He joined the Imaginary Reads team in September 2012 and posts movie reviews on Mondays.
